Introduction to Medicinal Cookery Plus Recipes
Welcome to the wonderful world of Cooking with Cannabis for medicinal purposes.
You will find there are a variety of recipes, and even instructions on how to use convenience foods with Medicinal Cannabis, for those of you who are too busy to make everything from basics.
First, you must understand there are procedures for doses, which are measured according to the size and body weight of each individual, and it is important to stick to using the basic allowance of Cannabis per person per meal, for as long as possible, because extremely large amounts of Cannabis will eventually, make you feel sleepy, and sleeping your life away is not really the best way of enjoying life. The whole purpose of Cooking with Cannabis is to allow you to be pain free, in order to be well enough to enjoy what is going on around you, and to give you the opportunity of joining in and making the most of every day.
I have found, by trial and error that the best results are as follows:-
1. Grind up "Pure Cannabis Bud" until it is a powder. (electric grinders are the best and easiest to use.)
2. Leave the lid of the grinder on, for 5 minutes until all the powder has settled.
3. Then remove all the powder into a screw top small container.
4. Use a Cotton bud, to tease out the last of the powder from the lid and grinder - waste not want not!
5. The Cotton bud can be scrapped gently with a knife, and the last of the magic medicine is yours.
6. When deciding on the measurement you need to consider the following.
The measurement is done with a teaspoon in the following way::-
- Take one spoonful out of the container.
- Use the back of a knife, and slowly go across the spoon, until it is a level teaspoonful.
- Then, using the back of the knife again, divide the spoonful up into portions of 2, 3, 4, or 6.
- To find out what portion is relevant to you read the following table.
Weight:-
Under 9 stone:- divide the mixture into 6 and use one sixth per meal.
9 - 13 stone:- divide the mixture into 4 and use one quarter per meal.
13 - 16 stone:- divide the mixture into 3 and use one third per meal
16 - 20 stone divide the mixture into 2 and use one half per meal
21 - plus use one level teaspoon.
It is a good idea to underline the line relevant to you, with a pencil, so you will remember your dose, and it is marked in your book, in case someone else has to do the cooking for you.
These are the guidelines by which I have used Powdered Cannabis Bud, for individual portions of food and I have recently gone into the under 13 stone bracket, and it has worked for me and some of my friends.
If after a few months, or years, the pain increases, then you just move to the next line down.
Now, in case of emergency, I always have one of my medicinal Cannabis drinks ready in the fridge, just in case I have to miss a meal.
Remember the following:-
1. If you simply smoke Cannabis, the pain killing effect is not very strong, and the effect lasts for only about 90 minutes altogether, plus, this is a much more expensive way of using Cannabis.
2. If you take the Cannabis in your food, it covers you for five hours, but it does take one hour to start working.
3. Therefore, having four small meals per day and one Cannabis drink for bed, means you are covered for 24 hours per day for pain.
Quick and easy snacks, and how to be prepared for them.
Medicinal Cannabis has to be soaked in Butter, Oil, Milk, Fresh Cream, Yogurt or Chocolate Powder, if you are going to be successful in your efforts to be pain free.
Butter:- For scrambled eggs or to add to a bowl of soup, or for sandwiches, take a small spoonful of butter, put it in the center of a saucer, or small bowl, and add the Cannabis to it - mixing it slowly and thoroughly. This is better if prepared 24 hours in advance.
Butter:- If however, a recipe asks for 1 oz or two ounces, for a cake mixture, then normally each cake has eight portions, and you should therefore use two level teaspoons and mix it in the stated amount of butter, at least 24 hours before you need to use it.
Butter:- For biscuits, I usually make them, so that two biscuits is just one portion of Cannabis. (I always feel that two biscuits are better than one). So If the mixture is for 12 biscuits you know you will need 6 portions of powdered Cannabis.
Oil:- This is usually for some cake recipes, and of course casseroles. I usually use 1 tablespoonful of Oil in a small container, and in the case of a cake recipe - that means eight portions of powdered Cannabis, in a casserole however, you can make enough for four individual meals, and therefore add four portions of Cannabis powder. Then you have the pleasure of having your dinner, and once the other three portions are cooled and bagged, they can go in the freezer for another day, just like some slices of the chocolate or carrot cakes.
Milk:- This is usually for milk puddings, and again, you must decide how many portions you would get, and then put in the appropriate amount of dozes. For example, I usually make a rice pudding for 4 portions, which is 1 level teaspoon of Powdered Cannabis.
Cream:- There are a few recipes with Cream, and if it is a cake recipe, it is eight dozes, which is two level teaspoons, or if it is for a sauce, made with cream, like the Chicken & Leek Pie, then I make sure that I can get 6 portions out of the pie, and that means 1 level teaspoon, plus two portions from another level teaspoon.
Yogurt:- This is good for putting into curries, rather than cream (personally I prefer the cream, but my son prefers the Yogurt. Again, I would make either a four or six portion curry, and eat one portion, freezing the rest separately. I does save on cooking time, and keeps your electricity bill down.
Chocolate
Powder:- When I buy my Chocolate Powder, for me - it is the Belgian Options, but I have also used Cadburys, I open the new container, and start to transfer it to my old container by spooning, the correct amount of chocolate for one drink, followed by one portion of Powdered Cannabis. Of course, now, I am so used to doing it that I actually, measure 4 lots of the chocolate powder, followed by a level teaspoon of the Cannabis Powder. Chocolate brings out the very best in the Cannabis, and makes the medicinal affect much greater, it works in the same way with Cocoa, then you know you can mix it thoroughly, once you have transferred the whole container, and there you are with at least, about three weeks worth of chocolate drinks, all prepared.
With all of the above ingredients, the longer the Cannabis is in its favorite source, either the butter, milk, oil, cream, yogurt or chocolate powder, the better, it brings out the medicinal value of the Cannabis to full effect.
I hope you found the above instructions, easy to understand, and that you will now have the pleasure of being pain free, 24 hours per day, but there is one last instruction I must give you.
Because I ate medicated food 7 days per week for 6 months, I blanketed the pain from a tooth ache I was suffering from, and this caused me to become very ill, as a result of which I lost all of my bottom teeth, last October, so since that time, I have only had medicated food, for five days of the week, the rest of the time, on Saturday & Sundays, I eat normal food.
Yes, there have been about 4 occasions in the last four months, when, by the Sunday afternoon, I have felt a twinge here and there, in which case, I turn to medicated chocolate drinks, to mask the pain until Monday morning, but, it is important to try and have the two days without medication, as an appendix might be trying to give you a message, and your body can only tell you if there is something unusual about to happen, if you give it a break from medicine in order to find out that everything else is okay - I promise you, it is worth the effort, after all - what if like me, your teeth are going bad, and you can’t find out , because you medicate 7 days per week.
Good Luck, and if you have any problems, just go to the website:- www.grandma-eats-cannabis.co.uk and I will solve the problems on a weekly basis.

The above recipe can be done with any of the "TINS" of Pataks Concentrated Sauces, they are more like a paste, and as near to the real thing as you can get. I usually put the Curry into two pans when its cooked, and add the cream/coconut cream to only one pan of curry, because I prefer it. However my son prefers it without the cream. Try both.!!!!!!!!!!

Make Pastry, roll out to medium thickness to form the lid, and use left over pastry for a ring of pastry leaves coming from the center of the pie, plus around the outside edge of the Pie. Milk the whole pie crust, and bake in the centre of the oven on Number 7 until Golden Brown, about 45 minutes.
Points of interest:-
I personally cooked this "Desperate Dan Pie" in the 1960’s/70’s when I lived in Hong Kong and holding Dinner parties was the "In thing". However, knowing how most people think of pig’s trotters, I never informed anyone that this was the secret ingredient, which gave such a good flavor. To this day, no one ever worked it out. But they loved it.
